Record-setting season

The James Madison women's lacrosse team captured its 10th Colonial Athletic Association championship in 2017 and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the third consecutive year, winning a first-round game for the first time in seven years. The Dukes finished with a 14-7 overall record and a No. 15 national ranking. Along the way, the team broke its own conference marks for goals (271) and points (382) in a season.
